BUCKMAN, SMOOT posted by Mark D Buckman on Monday, December 1, 1997

Charles Duvalle BUCKMAN (possibly the III).He was from Louisville, Ky. He married Cecil SMOOT in Louisville in 1947 and had a son, my dad named Micheal DuValle in May of 1948.He was 19 when his son was born, so we are guessing he was born around 1929.His son started receiving SS death benefits in 1966, so he died around that time.He may have had around ten sisters, but no brothers that we know of. He was a diabetic and possibly an alcoholic. He was divorced from Cecil smoot when his son was still a small child and contact was lost. We would like to find out who his parents were, and try to contact and living relatives to see if they can help us learn more.

Researching John WARMAN, Scott Co., IN 1820. Believed to have married Rhoda Roseanna GRITTON 30 May 1798 in Nelson Co., KY. She was the daughter of John Gritton. They are believed to have had 1 male & 1 female child born 1810 -1820, a male child b. 1804-1810. Names unknown. The information is from the Nelson Co. marriage records and from the 1820 Scott Co. Census. It is considered highly probable that John & Rhoda R. G. Warman are also the parents of a male child Aaron WARMAN b. "on the banks of the Ohio River" according to some in 1800 - according to his grave stone. Interested in any significant data to prove or disprove Aaron's relationship to this couple.
